The results of the synthesis of 2-hydroxy-5(3-methylcyclohexyl) aceto- and benzophenones by the reaction of p-(3-methylcyclohexyl) phenol with acetic acid (AcOH) and benzoyl chloride (BzCl) with the participation of nanosized ZnCl2 as a catalyst are presented.
