With a miscellaneous approach, this paper focuses on the analysis of some artistic patronage actions that were promoted in the parish of Santa Maria de Guía during the 16th and 19th centuries. It aspires to complete other studies that have been published on the subject, emphasizing the importance of documents as a reliable element to understand its development and subsequent worth. In the chapters that compose it we study traditions and artistic models, as well as the singularity that various works of art acquire as testimonies of the time in a contextual interpretation
