Meanwhile, this study aims to analyze the form of application of grammatical and lexical cohesion in face-to-face learning news texts on Kompas.com social media in the period August and October 2021. This study uses qualitative descriptive. In addition, the object of this research is the social media Kompas.com and the subject is a face-to-face learning news text that contains grammatical and lexical cohesion. The data collection technique used is the free listening technique, involving conversation and notes. Meanwhile, the data analysis used the agih method with basic techniques for direct elements and advanced techniques in the form of lesap and replace techniques. The results of the study found 100 data on grammatical and lexical cohesion. The data consists of 39 grammatical cohesions with descriptions of 10 references, 9 substitutions, 7 ellipsis, and 13 conjunctions. Meanwhile, lexical cohesion consists of 61 data with descriptions of 10 repetitions, 10 synonyms, 10 antonyms, 10 hyponyms, 12 collocations, and 9 equivalences. Based on the data found, it can be concluded that the most common grammatical cohesion markers are conjunctions. Meanwhile, in lexical cohesion, the most data is in collocation.
