The algorithm of pulmonary embolism (PE) diagnosis, validity and decision-making concerning thrombolytic therapy and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation are shown. We present a clinical case of a fatal thrombotic complication in a patient with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the recuperative period.
