Pir-i Türkistan Hoca Ahmed Yesevî ve Divan-I Hikmet’te Bulunan Değerler

Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī, who influenced the geography of Turkmenistan and the Turkish-Islamic world with his ideas, is regarded as one of the important Ṣūfī leaders. The wisdom of Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī had a great influence on the spread and settlement of Islam and Islamic morality among Turks. Dīvān-i Hikmat is regarded as one of the oldest and most important works of religious Ṣūfism Turkish literature after Kutadgu Bilig. In the present study, it is aimed to examine the work named Dīvān-i Hikmat (also known as Divan-i Hikmet) by Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī in ​​terms of education of values. In the current study, in which the analytical research method was adopted, the data that were collected through document analysis were analyzed by descriptive and content analysis method. The data source of the study consists of 144 wisdoms and 1 conjugation in the work titled Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī - Dīvān-i Hikmat written by Bice (2015). In determining the values ​​to be examined, a Value Analysis Form was prepared based on 22 values ​​aimed to be acquired by students in the Social Studies Curriculum of the Ministry of National Education. Based on the form prepared, the expressions with valuable content in the Dīvān-i Hikmat were determined and gathered under common themes. As a result of the research, the contents of the work were collected under the themes of justice, importance to family unity, scientificity, solidarity, honesty, tolerance, freedom, love, cleanliness, patriotism and benevolence. While the most emphasized values ​​in the determined themes are honesty, benevolence and scientificity, the less mentioned values ​​are solidarity and cleanliness. In summary, Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī’s work called Dīvān-i Hikmat is seen as an important work to be applied in values ​​education by many disciplines, especially Social Studies course.Keywords: Values Education, Dīvān-i Hikmat, Hodja Aḥmad al-Yasawī.
