The types of users who can work with the system, the content that the electronic library should contain, are described. Structural schemes of the electronic library system of the university and its elements are given. The schemes meet regulatory requirements and take into account the specifics of the work of higher educational institutions. The basic elements and modules of the electronic library system, their main functionality and content components are presented.
