In recent years, more and more studies have found that statins can protect the integrity of blood-brain barrier, alleviate excitotoxic damage of neurotransmitters, reduce neuronal apoptosis, and reduce neuroinflammation, which play a role in brain protection, thereby reducing the risk of PSE.
