We implemented the intervention protocol with two EGG groups conveniently sampled from a counselor education program. We gathered quantitative data based on the participants’ weekly survey responses to the Group Questionnaire, a measure of group cohesion. While both groups reported increasing group cohesion over the course of the EGG experience, we found that the two groups responded to our phase-based intervention model in distinct patterns.
