TEKNOLOGI PLASMA DIELECTRIC BARRIER DISCHARGE DALAM MENGURANGI BOD, COD LIMBAH CAIR INDUSTRI KELAPA SAWIT
The technology for processing palm oil waste water today still uses conventional technology in the form of biological treatment such as aeration ponds. This processing requires large areas of land, so it is necessary to look for alternative processing technologies that do not require large areas of land but are capable of reducing COD and BOD levels in palm oil industrial wastewater, such as plasma technology. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of plasma dielectric barrier discharge technology in reducing BOD and COD of palm oil waste water. In this case, the liquid waste of the palm oil industry was given different voltages of 0 Kv, 15Kv, 20Kv, 25 Kv. Obtained BOD levels with a voltage of 25 kV of 184 mg/l with an efficiency level of 97% and COD of 321 mg/l with an efficiency level of 97%
