This study aims to describe preservice elementary school teachers' misconceptions using an individual demonstration interview model on the electrical circuit concept. We used PhET Simulation Kit Circuit construction: DC-Virtual lab, a virtual laboratory for assembling simple electrical circuits for demonstration in this study. A total of 25 preservice elementary school teachers were research subjects. Research data were analyzed by comparing conceptions of students and conceptions of scientists. Students' conceptions that are different from scientists' conceptions are misconceptions that occur by students. The results indicate that students have several misconceptions. Some of these misconceptions were similar to previous studies. Students notice that the lamp can consume the current, and the closer the lamp to the battery, the brighter the lamp will glow.
