The global case fatality rate ranged from 6-7% in United States, Switzerland, Ireland, 12-14% in Sweden, Spain, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, and 15-16% in France and Belgium among hospitalized and non-hospitalized COVID-19 patients, the prevalence of underlying cardiovascular diseases was 9%. The prevalence of cardiovascular diseases among hospitalized COVID-19 patients and those requiring intensive care unit admission were 23% and 29% respectively.
