Domestic violence is a learned behavior that includes actions, harsh words to someone with elements of threat, force, physical, sexual, economic, emotional and verbal violence. Respondents in this study were four survivors recommended by legal aid agencies that focus on handling cases against women and children. This study aims to understand about resilience in women survivors of domestic violence. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Violence against women is an act that violates human rights. The data in this study were taken by using observation techniques and in-depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that resilience appears as an interaction between risk factors and protective factors. The four respondents are able to be resilient by optimizing aspects of social support and good adaptability to the problems they face. The protective factors possessed by respondents are relationships based on trust, responsibility, initiative, self-skill development, and identity stability.
