Register of stroke in the desert-steppe zones of Uzbekistan
Purpose of the study: to conduct a register of stroke in the desert-steppe zones of Uzbekistan on the example of the Khorezm region and to identify the influence of a complex of weather-climatic factors on the course and outcomes of cerebral strokes. To determine the prognosis of cerebral strokes in the near future, a “Register of cerebral strokes” was conducted in the desert-steppe zones of Uzbekistan – using the example of the Khorezm region for 2019. The conducted register of strokes in 2019 in the desert-steppe zones of Uzbekistan revealed 3569 cases of stroke, of which 1967 (55.1%) in men and 1602 (44.9%) in women. The population aged 20 years and older was 1,150,135 people, of which 565,722 men (49.2%) and 584,413 women (50.8%).
