The rank of the country in the international maritime community in the field of business and financial services is indicated. The contribution of transport by sea to the trade exchange and to the Exchequer is discussed. The growing transshipments of goods in the major seaports in the United Kingdom in the period 2005 to 2016 and measured taken by the ports to increase productivity are analyzed.
