The other aspects of the particle engineering involves the morphological changes of the drug substances. The particle engineering involves improvement of physicochemical properties such as solubility, stability, improved bioavailability and formulation of novel drug delivery systems such as pulmonary drug delivery system. This article includes various techniques used for the particle engineering such as Micronization, Spray drying, high pressure homogenization, Supercritical fluid technology and freeze drying.
