The animals showed changes in thyroxine and thyroid-stimulating hormone, as well as general toxic indicators. Absorption of the drug through the skin at a dose of 0.5 g/kg on 4–8 week old rat pups has not been established. The rationale for the use of a skin antiseptic for the hygienic treatment of hands containing PVP-iodine in the age group of children from 8 years old is given.
