Palembang has two kinds of language sari-sari or Pasaran language and language alus: Bebaso. Currently, the people of Palembang tend to use everyday language with the dialect of using 'O' like what to be apo and why to be ngapo. The purpose of this article is to create an understanding to the public about the origin of the Palembang language Bebaso. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Interviews and library studies were used as data collection techniques. The data is described in a way that conclusions can be drawn. The results of this study are (1) Palembang Alus Language: Bebaso cannot be separated from the influence of the island of Java, because after the collapse of the Demak kingdom, the Demak nobility returned to Palembang following the Aria Damar or Aria Dilla Sultanates.
