This descriptive study was carried out with 208 nursing students at Namık Kemal University. Data were collected through the use of Turkish version of the Vocational Choices in Entering Nursing Scale, and the student introduction form. 83.2% of the students are females. 69.7% of the students said that they chose nursing with their own will and 10.6% declared that they want to change their career. It was found that vocational congruency subscale score mean was 62.91±16.23 and survival motivation subscale score mean was 45.17±17.10. The item ‘I always wanted to help people’ had the highest point score (84,03±18,39) among all items; the item ‘I can’t do anything other than nursing’ had the lowest point score (20.19±24.92) among all items. It was determined that there was a significant difference between vocational congruency subscale Temel M., Bilgiç Ş., & Çelikkalp Ü., (2018). 摘要
