Thus, the current study examined the current situation, needed workforce qualifications, and career services for preparing the future workforce to the world of work in terms of Industry 4.0 in Turkey. Using a phenomenological approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the academicians who have a theoretical and experiential background about the relevant topic in Gaziantep which is the one of important industrial towns of Turkey. The results indicated a lack of infrastructure, research-development, awareness and vision, and the need for education in Industry 4.0 as well as some occupations that will be gone and will grow. According to cluster analysis, two dimensions of the needed qualifications of the workforce were yielded, indicating domain competencies and soft and transferable skills. 摘要
