Antipsychotic drugs combined with a small dose of magnesium valprote in treatment of schizophrenia complicated with aggressive behavior

Objective To study the effect and value of antipsychotic drugs combined with a small dose of magnesium valprote in the treatment of schizophrenia complicated with aggressive behavior.Methods 180 patients with schizophrenia complicated with aggressive behavior treated at our hospital from November,2014 to November,2015 were selected and were randomly divided into a control group (n=90),treated with dsperidone,and an observation group(n=90),treated with risperidone and magnesium valprote.The treatment effect and application value of the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results The scores of positive and negative symptoms and overt aggression were (75.6±5.6) and (7.5±0.9) in the control group and were (75.7±7.2) and (7.4±0.8) in the observation group before the treatment and were (62.5±7.6) and (4.9±0.8) in the control group and were (51.2±7.9) and (2.9±1.1) in the observation group after the treatment,with statistical differences between these two groups after the treatment (P ＜ 0.05).There was no statistical difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between these two groups (the observation group 24.44％ vs.the control group 22.22％,P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Antipsychotic drugs combined with a small dose of magnesium valprote in the treatment of schizophrenia complicated with aggressive behavior is effective and can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions of antipsychotic drugs,so it is worth being generalized.
