Doctoral dissertation „The activity of the Women’s League in the Białystok region in the years 1945–1989”, written under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Małgorzata Dajnowicz, deals with the activity of a mass women’s organization operating in the period of People’s Poland. The aim of the work was to show the evolution of the activities undertaken by the Women’s League in the north-eastern part of People’s Poland in the light of socio-political and economic conditions in the country. The self-report of the doctoral dissertation covers the main assumptions of the doctoral dissertation, the source materials and research methods used, the structure of the work and final conclusions.
