In aggregate, these studies indicate human mast cell secretory granule associations with ribosomes, the protein synthetic machine of cells, with ribosomal proteins, with RNA, with poly(A)-positive mRNA and with various long-lived, or short-lived, uridine-rich, and poly(A)-poor RNA species with key roles in RNA processing and splicing.
