A detailed ultrastructural study has been performed on viroplasms induced by two Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) strains. Thin-sectioning and negative-staining electron microscopy techniques were both used. Examination of purified viroplasms by negative staining has revealed additional details in their ultrastructure.
