Interaction of bodies in the circular restricted 3-body problem with variable mass
This paper presents the motion properties of a test particle under gravitational forces generated by the primaries. The interactions of three-body and the effects of the Coriolis as well as centrifugal forces are also considered in this 3-body configuration. It is assumed that the mass of the test particle varies according to Jean’s law. Given all these perturbations, we determine the equations of motion and quasi-Jacobi integral. And then, we numerically investigate position and nature of equilibrium points, regions of motion, Poincaré surfaces of section, basins of attraction, periodic orbits and stability of the equilibrium points.

期刊介绍:
Astronomy and Computing is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on the broad area between astronomy, computer science and information technology. The journal aims to publish the work of scientists and (software) engineers in all aspects of astronomical computing, including the collection, analysis, reduction, visualisation, preservation and dissemination of data, and the development of astronomical software and simulations. The journal covers applications for academic computer science techniques to astronomy, as well as novel applications of information technologies within astronomy.
