A ARTICULAÇÃO DOS FLUXOS ECONÔMICOS INTERESTATAIS REALIZADO PELAS CIDADES-GÊMEAS DE GUAJARÁ-MIRIM (RONDÔNIA) E GUAYARAMERÍN (BENI)

The present article presents the role of the twin cities of Guajara-Mirim and Guayaramerin for the articulation of the transnational flows between Brazil and Bolivia. establishes a comparison with the set of relations between Brazil and Bolivia to evaluate the relevance of twin cities as nodes of global exchanges between these countries. Through the differentiation of local flows, this article still infers about the characteristics of the national regions that are the scene of commercial networks. The article utilizes the method of dealing with the official data of the local, regional and international trade of both countries and also included a local visit, which was useful to reflect, through a questionnaire applied to traders, about the little relevance of the Free Trade Area of Guajara-Mirim as an import promoter.
