The Norwegian Cancer Society was instrumental both political and financial when the Cancer Registry was founded back in 1952. In the following years, the Cancer Registry had major financial contributions from the Norwegian Cancer Society.\nThroughout the history, the Cancer Registry of Norway and the Norwegian Cancer Society has had a strong collaboration on important areas as cancer research, cancer screening, prevention, and international work.
