It can be mono or polymicrobial infection. The diagnosis is mainly dependent on clinical signs and symptoms. Trauma is the commonest cause for it. The early signs and symptoms may mimic cellulitis. We present a case of necrotizing fasciitis following an assault. The patient was received in a state of shock. Despite all measures, the patient could not be saved. Early debridement and antibiotic therapy have a key role in the prognosis of the disease.
