In the study, according to Muñoz (2001), Cayuela, (1997), Elías Y Dunning (1992) and Cagigal (1971), social sport is conceived as a socio-cultural phenomenon available to everyone, who, through exercise, physical activity, play and competition, allow interpersonal relationships, integration, community inclusion, in a pleasant way, with the purpose of improving the quality of life and well-being, constituting an image of society and its context. Methodologically, a documentary research of a qualitative, interpretative nature is postulated; The study plans endorsed and published on the website of each academic program of the respective institutions are established as a source. The results show that public institutions of higher education place greater emphasis on the social perspective of sport, such as the University of Cundinamarca and the National Pedagogical University. Contrary to what is posed by the horizon of meaning and missionary lines of many institutions, the intention of forming an integral subject and enabling a better society is not in line with the curricular proposals for formation.
