In order to spread the idea of deconstructing prejudices towards women in our traditional patriarchal society, the necessity of approaching feminism in basic education arises. Thus, through bibliographic and interventional research, this paper aims to present to the academic and educational communities a didactic material which links literature and women’s empowerment as an approach to teach literature in high school. This paper also discusses women's empowerment, their role and space throughout the history of Brazil as well as in classic and contemporary literature.
