This research aims to raise the debate about the importance of the insertion of play activities, especially with the use of music, in the pre-school pedagogical process. The research, of a qualitative nature, sought its data in a bibliographical review about the theme. The results point to the importance of music in school as a facilitator of social interaction, as well as to stimulate skills, hypotheses and concepts. In addition, music offers opportunities for research and development of creativity.
