This article will focus on the problems we met in taking in the digital born archives (metadata and the mapping of metadata, formats, exporting from the original application) and in ensuring availability. Furthermore the focus will be on the requirements this type of archives imply for the design of systems and the need for (European) standards. Building on the experience with the City Region, we are now looking at the governance of chain informatisation within the social sector.
