The first dose contained ( 1000 ) larvae and the second one ( 2000 ) for each . A challenge dose of ( 100 ) non- irradiated larvae /kg body weight was given after ( 5 ) week to the vaccinated groups and a control non- vaccinated (5 kids ) 3rd group. All animals were slaughtered after 6 weeks post challenge.  \nResults showed that both vaccines revealed 80.7% and 78.1% protection respectively for worm burden as compared to control. 摘要

设计了连续发射ImW可见氦-氖激光减毒的第三阶段丝虫Dictyocaulus幼虫疫苗与0.5 k灰度(Co作为辐射源)γ减毒幼虫暴露(5)分钟的(632.8)nm波长的效果的比较试验。两种减毒幼虫疫苗分别给一组(5)名儿童接种。每种疫苗间隔(35)天口服两次免疫剂量。第一剂含有(1000)只幼虫,第二剂含有(2000)只幼虫。接种组和对照组未接种疫苗(5名儿童)第三组在(5)周后给予(100)只未辐照幼虫/kg体重的攻击剂量。所有动物在挑战后6周后被屠宰。结果显示,与对照组相比,两种疫苗对蠕虫负荷的保护率分别为80.7%和78.1%。与γ辐照疫苗相比,激光减毒疫苗对雌性蠕虫的繁殖力和幼虫在粪便中的分泌表现出统计学上显著的抑制作用。
