LEXICOLOGIA E LINGUÍSTICA APLICADA: ALGUMAS APROXIMAÇÕES E IMPLICAÇÕES NO ENSINO DE LÍNGUA MATERNA

The lexicon plays a fundamental role in the teaching-learning process of any language and, therefore, should be included in didactic-pedagogical practices. However, although essential, the teaching of the lexicon has occupied a secondary role in the teaching of grammar (ANTUNES, 2012). Given this, it is the objective of this paper to trace interrelations between Applied Linguistics (LA) and the teaching proposal of the lexicon, aiming to present the importance of the lexicon at all levels of education.
