Following theoretical trajectories in geography and Science and Technology Studies that explore more-than-human relationships, I Fermented Landscapes: Lively Processes of Socio-environmental Transformation i edited by Colleen C. Myles uses the process of fermentation as a tool to investigate social, cultural, and political changes of different environments. By investigating the blending of cultivation and (socio-)cultural practices, various chapters help to illuminate fermentation's role in the symbiosis of human-environment relations.
