Empirical fieldwork was conducted in Bilaspur district, of Chhattisgarh, India using semistructured interview, observation, and case study involving 30 key informants selected through purposive sampling. The study documented 65 medicinal plants species belonging to 36 families. . of which 37% species were trees, 28% herbs, 20% small trees, 6% climbers, and 9% species shrubs being used for treating 61 types of disease. Datura stramonium was most used plant by the traditional healers.
