在也门，拍摄妇女是一项禁忌，妇女在陌生人面前一般都蒙着面纱，只露出眼睛，本研究是在也门进行的首次育儿实践视频观察。共拍摄了 62 位母亲和孩子（2-6 岁）在家中自由互动的 15 分钟。母亲的面纱并没有妨碍对敏感度的编码。与社会经济贫困的背景相一致，平均敏感度水平较低，但超过 25% 的母亲被评为（非常）敏感。大约一半的母亲选择让孩子做家务，这反过来又与较低的敏感度有关。观察结果显示，孩子经常看镜头。近一半的母亲口头表达了对录像的不安全感，三分之一的母亲表示意识到自己被拍摄了。但有趣的是，这些行为与安斯沃斯对母亲敏感度的评分无关。
