These results suggested that antibacterial activity of DRPM is not variable by patient's age. DRPM also showed excellent activities against H. influenzae type b, L. monocytogenes and N. meningitidis, which cause purulent meningitis, and B. pertussis causing whooping cough more than the other carbapenems.
