Chondroitin-sulfate- and dermatan-sulfate-type proteoglycans were present in association with collagen fibrils in the extracellular matrix. Heparan-sulfate-type proteoglycans were present in association with the basal lamina of both the vascular endothelial cells and the trabecular cells.
