35例抑郁症住院患者临床病程分析(女19例，男16例;内源性抑郁症19例，神经性抑郁症16例(ICD-9诊断);平均年龄46.7岁)，使用汉密尔顿抑郁量表(HAMD)对接受帕罗西汀20mg /d治疗的患者进行21天的观察。对于两种类型的抑郁症，从第1天到第21天，HAMD的平均总分以及认知和躯体项目的亚分都有显著下降。HAMD自杀项均值上升3例，下降25例。
