[Lesbian and bisexual students in medical training: narratives of a trajectory].
In a contemporaneity world in which it is imperative to be happy, investigating experiences of suffering, from an ethical-political standpoint, proves to be indispensable. The focus on gender and sexuality is justified by the current conquests and upsurges related to feminism and the LGBT+ population. In this respect, analyzing the experiences of lesbian and bisexual students in medical training can be a strategy for observing the dynamics that affect their individualities in their university career and in the production of health care. This narrative research aims to provide a space for listening, expressing and recording of the narratives of lesbian and bisexual students enrolled in medical courses in Piauí. Eleven students were interviewed and their narratives were analyzed in the light of critical hermeneutics. The study revealed the elimination of lesbian and bisexual sexuality in medical training and the subjective and sociopolitical consequences of this, the urgent need to improve public health policies and the effects of cisheteronormativity on the expected profile for medical professionals.
