The product of its crystallization from a DMF–water mixture (CoL<sub>2</sub>(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>·2MeOH·2H<sub>2</sub>O) after drying in vacuo is characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), as well as the initial acetylpyrazolone L (CIF files CCDC nos. 2400710 and 2400711, respectively).
