In this letter, we contextualize their findings with global evidence, highlighting the significance of fingernails as hidden reservoirs of parasitic transmission. We propose the integration of fingernail hygiene—specifically, nail trimming and handwashing—into public health interventions, particularly, in endemic and underserved communities.
