This case underscores the critical importance of thorough laboratory investigations, particularly histopathology, in chronic dermatological conditions that mimic other granulomatous diseases. Misdiagnosis, such as treating chromoblastomycosis as cutaneous tuberculosis without confirmatory testing, can delay appropriate therapy and prolong morbidity.
