Differential scanning calorimetric analyzer (DSC), wide angle X-ray diffraction (WXRD), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA), universal testing machine, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and rotational rheometer were used for the characterization. Number-average molecular weight of CHDM-based polyesters is 12,000–37,000 g/mol. All polyesters can crystallize. All CHDM-based polyesters have good thermal stability. The polyesters from aliphatic diacids with long chains (azelaic acid, undecanedioic acid, and tridecanedioic acid) have better crystallization ability and good toughness (elongation at break > 300%).
