We report the first complete mitochondrial genome of <i>P. furnessi</i> obtained by next-generation sequencing, providing baseline data for conservation genetics. The mitochondrial genome (approximately 16 kb) encodes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNAs, two rRNAs, and a control region, with an overall A+T content of 62.8%. Start codons ATG/ATT and stop codons TAA/TAG were identified.
