4 (2014): 961-967, https://doi.org/10.1111/jog.12296。
RETRACTION: Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein-1 (Actim PROM Test) for Detection of Premature Rupture of Fetal Membranes
RETRACTION: I. A. Abdelazim, “ Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein-1 (Actim PROM Test) for Detection of Premature Rupture of Fetal Membranes,” Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research40, no. 4 (2014): 961–967, https://doi.org/10.1111/jog.12296.
The above article, published online on 26 February 2014 in Wiley Online Library (wileyonlinelibrary.com), and the associated Expression of Concern (https://doi.org/10.1111/jog.16211) have been retracted by agreement between the journal Editor-in-Chief, Hiroaki Kajiyama; Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology; and John Wiley & Sons, Australia, Ltd. The retraction has been agreed upon following concerns raised by a third-party regarding inconsistencies in the reported data. The author stated that Group 1 in this paper was identical to Group 1 in their previous article. However, Table 1 of this article displaying the maternal and gestational age of the patients contains different data from that shown for the same group in the previous article. Furthermore, the author disclosed that the statistical analysis of the patient data had been outsourced to a statistical specialist, who provided only the results and significance levels. As a result, the author was unable to explain or verify the methodology used to calculate the p-values and Chi Square tests. The inconsistencies in participant data and absence of a clear explanation for the statistical procedures undermine confidence in the validity of the results. Therefore, the editors consider the results and conclusions reported in this article to be unreliable. The authors disagree with the retraction.
