(Cyperaceae). The main compounds in <i>C. rotundus</i> fatty oil are palmitic acid (16:0) and octadecadienoic acid (18:2-9c, 12c). The main compound of the essential oil of <i>C. rotundus</i>, named cyperotundiol, was identified for the first time. This study provides relevant data concerning the oil’s antioxidant activity and bio-active molecules.
