Harnessing Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, and Digital Technologies for achieving supply chain excellence in Oman: Investigating the mediating role of predictive analytics
This study examines the impact of digital technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Intelligence (BI), and Digital Transformation (DT), on enhancing supply chain performance in Oman’s manufacturing and logistics sectors. Anchored in the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities Theory (DCT), the research examines the mediating role of predictive analytics and the moderating effect of organizational readiness in translating digital adoption into operational outcomes. A quantitative approach was applied using structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) on data from 340 professionals across Omani firms. Results reveal that AI, BI, and DT significantly improve supply chain efficiency, competitive advantage, and cost reduction, while predictive analytics acts as a critical enabler of these effects. Organizational readiness further amplifies performance outcomes, underscoring the importance of internal capabilities in leveraging digital investments. The findings contribute to the open innovation discourse by highlighting the strategic interplay between technology, analytics, and readiness in shaping adaptive and resilient supply chains in emerging markets.
