In this review, we comprehensively collate and elaborate on revolutionary detection methods and AMR surveillance strategies that go beyond traditional microbial culture techniques. These innovative methods have not only improved the sensitivity and speed of detection but also broadened our understanding of the microbial world, providing new weapons in the fight against drug-resistant microorganisms.
