The Fe/Ba/Mg composite was characterized using various methods, and its U(VI) removal performance was investigated in aqueous solutions. The ternary Fe/Ba/Mg metal hydroxide exhibited a U(VI) removal capacity of 436.68 mg·g<sup>−1</sup>. The presence of other coexisting ions negligibly affected the U(VI) removal capacity. The adsorption of U(VI) by the Fe/Ba/Mg composite was a spontaneous and endothermic process.
